MEZZARIA: New Cultural Project Launches in Marche to Revitalize Montesecco

In the Marche region, a new social promotion group called MEZZARIA is aiming to revitalize Montesecco, a hamlet in Pergola, Pesaro-Urbino, by emphasizing art, culture, and local food. This effort unites three local entities: Casa Sponge, an artist residency founded in 2007 by Giovanni Gaggia; Fattoria Villa Ligi, a vineyard managed by Francesco Tonelli and his son Stefano; and Pergola Tartufi, a startup from three young entrepreneurs. They plan to breathe life back into the village's historic social club and enhance community connections. MEZZARIA kicked off with its first event, 'Ricordando Don Sidney,' on August 14, 2021, a dinner honoring the former parish priest. An exhibition titled 'Fortuna instabile quasi possibile' is set to open on August 20, 2021, featuring artists such as Lidia Bianchi and Silvia Bigi, and will later move to Artcurial in Milan from October 7-17, 2021.
