Mexican studios Palma + Taller T-O win MAC Panamá new headquarters competition

The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Panamá (MAC Panamá) has announced the winning proposal for its new headquarters, designed by Mexican studios Palma + Taller T-O. Selected from an international design competition, the project envisions an open, flexible cultural infrastructure deeply integrated with Panama's climate, urban fabric, and landscape. Rather than a standalone building, the museum is conceived as a public meeting space that extends cultural experience into the city. The jury praised the proposal for articulating local identity, environmental sustainability, and economic viability within a contemporary architecture born from interdisciplinary collaboration.
