METS in Trentino turns museum into immersive space on labor safety

exhibition · 2026-05-01

The METS – Museo etnografico trentino San Michele in San Michele all'Adige, Trento, opens "Un lavoro a regola d'Arte. Dignità, Salute e Sicurezza per un mondo del lavoro migliore" on April 17, 2026. Conceived by artists Paola Samoggia and Carlo Magrì, the exhibition transforms seven rooms into immersive environments with short films, music, dance, and multisensory elements to address dignity, health, and safety at work. It draws on the six-year project "Arte e/è Lavoro, una questione di accenti" and includes works by Great Nnachi, Carlos Kamizele, Martina Dall'Asta, Lucia Vergnano, and others. The show references the collapse of Torre dei Conti in Rome and the death of worker Octay Stroici, as well as the UN 2030 Agenda. A performance inspired by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus will take place on opening day at 5 PM.
