Métrica8: Thinking with Hands in Asturian Architecture

Established in 2023 by architect Claudia Armas, Métrica8 is an architecture firm located in Colunga, Asturias, promoting a tactile approach to design. Their guiding principle, 'thinking with hands,' prioritizes active involvement in the building process. A significant endeavor is the renovation of Casa Rosa in Oviedo, which has been converted into a cultural hub. Métrica8 also revives Asturian building traditions, particularly the 'cebatu' technique, which garnered First Prize at the Wood Interior Design Competition and was showcased at the 67th FIDMA 2024. Ongoing projects include Casa Trechoriu, El Corralón, Casa Paz, and Casa Cebolla in Cantabria.
