MetaMask Launches Agent Wallet for Secure Autonomous AI Trading

MetaMask has introduced Agent Wallet, a self-custodial wallet designed for AI agents to perform on-chain transactions according to user-specified security parameters. This innovation seeks to improve the safety of autonomous cryptocurrency trading by merging AI automation with wallet-level safeguards. Users can establish spending caps, designate allowed protocols, and define risk levels. Agent Wallet is compatible with AI systems such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, and it facilitates transactions on Hyperliquid and EVM-compatible networks. It also includes gas abstraction, enabling gas fees to be settled using transaction tokens. MetaMask provides Guard Mode for oversight and Beast Mode for seasoned users, incorporating features like transaction simulation, threat scanning, and a Transaction Protection program. This launch follows a limited test in June with 200 participants.
