Mernet Larsen and Jonathan Butt present perspective-themed exhibition at Regina Rex in Queens

A two-person exhibition featuring Mernet Larsen and sculptor Jonathan Butt opens March 19 at Regina Rex in Ridgewood, Queens. The show explores vertiginous perspective as its central theme. Larsen's 2010 painting "Mall Event," measuring 50 by 55 inches and created with acrylic and mixed media on canvas, will be included. The opening reception runs from 7 to 10 pm at 1717 Troutman, suite #329. Regina Rex operates as an artist-run space with regular weekend hours from noon to 6 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Visitors can reach the venue via the L train to Jefferson station, then walk along Wyckoff Avenue to Troutman Street. The gallery occupies a large brick building on the left side after passing St. Nicholas and Cypress streets. The exhibition represents Larsen's continued investigation of spatial relationships in painting.
