artist · 2026-04-26

Roman street artist Merio (known as Merione or Merioone), famous for his warning fish with fleshy mouths, will open a pop-up store in Piazza Testaccio on June 8, 2025, from 3 to 7 PM. The event is part of his ongoing Fishes Invasion project, which has seen his stickers appear in over 80 cities across 39 countries since 2015. The new temporary store is organized in collaboration with artist and designer Davide Rossi Doria. Merioone previously opened a pop-up in Trastevere in October 2020, for which he designed t-shirts, gadgets, and packaging. In 2021, he collaborated with UNICEF and Clementoni on the Regalo sospeso campaign, delivering activity books and puzzles to 2,000 hospitalized children in Italy; a second edition followed in 2022. In 2022, he also partnered with lighter brand Clipper to create a 16-design Fishes Invasion collection featuring fish transformed into devils, ghosts, and cartoon characters.
