Meredith Hodges Appointed CEO of The Shed, New York

Effective October 2023, Meredith 'Max' Hodges has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of The Shed in New York. Previously, she was the Executive Director of Boston Ballet since 2014, where she successfully increased the endowment from $14 million to $36 million and promoted diversity initiatives. Hodges has also held significant positions at Gallim Dance and the Museum of Modern Art, accumulating 20 years of expertise in both nonprofit cultural organizations and the private sector. She takes over from Alex Poots, who will now concentrate solely on his role as Artistic Director. The Shed, which launched in Manhattan in 2019, showcases a wide range of interdisciplinary works, including music, visual arts, theatre, and dance. Hodges is eager to enhance audience engagement and accessibility, aligning with the institution's entrepreneurial vision.
