exhibition · 2026-04-27

In Geneva, the Centre d'Art Contemporain (CAC) is presenting the first significant European retrospective of Greek director Menelaos Karamaghiolis, born in 1962. Curated by Andrea Bellini, this exhibition spans more than 40 years of Karamaghiolis's creative output across 500 square meters, showcasing films, installations, and social projects, including ROM (1989) and Just Another Confused Elephant (2012). A dedicated screening area, Cinema Dynamo, features his full-length films. Additionally, four large paintings by Stelios Faitakis (1976–2023) are on display, with highlights such as City Divers (2022) and A Bird in Search of a Cage (2012–2019). The AfroGreeks exhibition, curated by Grace Chimela Eze Nwoke, delves into the interplay between Greek culture and the African diaspora. This exhibition will be available until December 23, 2023.
