MENART Fair Founder Laure d'Hauteville on Expanding MENA Art in Europe
Laure d'Hauteville, the founder and director of MENART Fair, highlighted the event's fourth edition, which took place at Palais d'Iéna in Paris from September 15–17, 2023. The fair showcased 31 galleries and six foundations representing 14 countries, drawing in 5,727 attendees and resulting in the sale of 128 out of approximately 230 displayed artworks. Established in 2021, MENART aims to fill the gap for Middle Eastern, North African, and Iranian art in Europe, hosting two editions annually: one in Paris each September and another in Brussels every February. This year's event featured contributions from six foundations and collaborated with institutions like Musée de l'Homme, where ceramics by Samar Mogarbel were presented. Notable attendees included CESE France President Thierry Beaudet and CESE Lebanon President Charles Arbid.
