#MEMEPROPAGANDA: An Artistic Project on Memes
The Clusterduck collective is hosting the #MEMEPROPAGANDA exhibition, which runs until June 30, 2018. You can check it out online at greencube.gallery or in various places around the world. This project really digs into the artistic, conceptual, and political sides of meme culture, especially highlighting leftist creators who often get overshadowed by the Alt Right. It also explores the divide between casual meme users and more dedicated fans. Six artists, including Simon Villaret and Nicole Ruggero, created posters featuring famous meme characters like Pepe the Frog, using styles inspired by Situationism. There’s also a new platform called 4ducks where users can share their own images, and the project wraps up with a collaborative drawing in the 'superinternet.space room' to analyze how spontaneous moments fit into a structured environment.
