Melissa O'Shaughnessy releases limited-edition print and book set to support Aperture Foundation
Aperture Foundation has launched a special limited-edition bundle featuring photographer Melissa O'Shaughnessy's work. The set includes a signed copy of her 2020 monograph Perfect Strangers: New York City Street Photographs and a signed, numbered print titled Liberty Street, 2018. Only 50 sets are available, with the artist donating all proceeds to support Aperture's publishing and programming initiatives. O'Shaughnessy, born in 1960 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has been photographing New York City streets daily for seven years. Her work appears in the 2017 edition of Bystander: A History of Street Photography by Colin Westerbeck and Joel Meyerowitz and has been exhibited internationally. As a member of UP Photographers, she brings a humanist perspective to street photography, capturing diverse urban characters. Each pigment print measures 10½ x 7 inches on 11¼ x 9½ inch paper and ships from New York within 3-5 days. This marks her first monograph release.
