Melissa Meyer's Major Exhibitions and Tokyo Skyscraper Commission Highlight 2006-2008 Period

Between late 2006 and early 2008, Melissa Meyer presented her art in multiple shows around New York. Her paintings and watercolors were showcased at Lennon, Weinberg, Inc., while her black and white paper works were on exhibit at the Elizabeth Harris Gallery until November 8, 2006. During this time, Andrea Belag curated "White: A Group Show" at Bill Maynes Gallery on West 20th Street. Meyer's solo show ran from December 14, 2006, to February 3, 2007, at the New York Studio School and later moved to the Wiegand Gallery at Notre Dame of Namur University from January 20 to March 3, 2008. She also created large works for Tokyo’s Shiodome City Center. Other noteworthy exhibitions in New York included artists like Amy Cutler and Michelle Lopez, with Meyer’s work also honoring Miriam Schapiro at the National Academy Museum.
