Meleagro Myth Explored in Milan Exhibition

A new exhibition titled "Storia di un gesto: Il mito di Meleagro dall’arte classica a Warburg, a Picasso" has launched at Fondazione Rovati in Milan. This unique display will be open from May 13 until August 2, 2026. Though it occupies only three rooms, it explores significant themes in art history, focusing on the myth of Meleagro. The narrative highlights the connection between Meleagro's destiny and a log safeguarded by his mother, Altea, after it is removed from flames. The exhibition aims to provoke inquiry, encouraging visitors to engage with the complexities of the artwork rather than offering simple interpretations.
