MEIS Ferrara opens call for new director as Simonetta Della Seta departs for Yad Vashem
The Museo Nazionale dell'Ebraismo Italiano e della Shoah (MEIS) in Ferrara is on the lookout for a new director, with the deadline for applications set for April 6, 2020. This position, governed by the national collective labor contract for managers, comes with a renewable term of four years. Simonetta Della Seta, who has been at the helm since December 2017, will depart for Yad Vashem in Jerusalem on September 1. She commended her team and highlighted MEIS's successes, such as significant exhibitions and the transformation of the former Ferrara prison into a cultural space. The Board of Directors, led by Dario Disegni, is focused on completing architectural initiatives and improving cultural offerings, despite facing design and funding challenges.
