Meike has introduced the Air AF 56mm f/1.7 APS-C portrait prime lens, designed for Sony E-mount cameras, which was initially unveiled at CP+ 2026. This lens, weighing just 190 grams, ranks among the lightest autofocus portrait lenses available. It boasts an 11-element optical configuration, an STM stepping motor, and is compatible with 8K video recording. The minimum focusing distance is 0.55 meters, and it accommodates 52mm filters. Priced at $159, it comes in both black and white variants, while mounts for Nikon Z and Fujifilm X have been announced, although a release date has yet to be specified.
