To celebrate their eighth anniversary, Meghan Markle shared previously unseen photos from her wedding to Prince Harry, which took place on May 19, 2018, at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. The Instagram posts feature candid moments from both the ceremony and reception, including a performance by Elton John. Markle wrote, "Eight years ago today…" and included Paula Abdul's "Forever Your Girl" in her story. The wedding was attended by 600 guests, such as Victoria and David Beckham, Serena Williams, Oprah, and George and Amal Clooney, and was viewed by approximately 1.9 billion people. Markle's stunning off-the-shoulder Givenchy gown, crafted by Clare Waight Keller, drew inspiration from Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy's 1990s minimalist wedding dress.
