MEET Brings Venice VR Expanded and miart Digital Edition to Milan

digital · 2026-04-27

MEET, the International Centre for Digital Art and Culture in Milan, is hosting the entire selection of 33 virtual reality works from the 78th Venice International Film Festival's Venice VR Expanded section. The program runs until September 19, with tickets priced modestly and free for under-25s. Founded in 2018 by Fondazione Cariplo and Meet the Media Guru, MEET also features an immersive project by Turkish media artist Refik Anadol. Additionally, the 25th edition of miart returns both physically at Fiera Milano City with 145 galleries from 20 countries and online via a digital platform, after a 16-month hiatus. MEET has partnered with Rai Cinema to promote Italian VR cinema, screening a new Rai-produced VR film monthly. The centre's 2021/2022 season promises further programming.
