MediTa Festival returns to Taranto with pop-rock and symphonic music

The MediTa Festival of Mediterranean Culture returns to Taranto from September 7 to 10, 2023, curated by the Orchestra della Magna Grecia in collaboration with the Municipality of Taranto, under the artistic direction of Maestro Piero Romano. The festival features four evenings of pop-rock symphonic music performed by renowned artists alongside the orchestra. The lineup includes rapper Clementino on September 7, arranged and directed by Maestro Roberto Molinelli; Vega 80 with a tribute to 1980s dance music on September 8; singer Noemi on September 9, arranged and directed by Maestro Valter Sivilotti; and singer-songwriter Ermal Meta on September 10, arranged and directed by Maestro Piero Romano. The venue is the Rotonda del Lungomare Vittorio Emanuele III in Taranto. Aldo Patruno, director of the Department of Tourism, Economy of Culture and Territorial Enhancement of the Puglia Region, stated that MediTa has been included in the cultural events calendar of the Puglia Region since last year, as part of a strategy to diversify Puglia's cultural tourism offering beyond the sea.
