MediTa Festival Returns to Taranto with Achille Lauro, Mahmood, and Edoardo Bennato

The MediTa Festival returns for its second edition in Taranto in summer 2021, organized with the municipal administration led by Mayor Rinaldo Melucci. The festival uses the Orchestra della Magna Grecia as a musical base to accompany iconic Italian music artists. A special pre-festival on September 2 is dedicated to Generation Z talents from MK3, a company founded by Achille Lauro and Angelo Calculli that recently entered the NFT and blockchain music market. The festival closes on September 5 with Edoardo Bennato. Performances by Mahmood and Achille Lauro will be accompanied by 40 master musicians of the Orchestra della Magna Grecia. Angelo Calculli, producer of Achille Lauro and partner in MK3, thanked the city of Taranto for supporting music and operators. He noted that last year's and this year's concerts will be available on Amazon Prime, and that the Orchestra della Magna Grecia will participate with Lauro in a major project at the Arena di Verona. Young talents from the Lauro-Calculli stable performing include Nahaeze, Bianca Atzei, Piccolo G, Nik Oss Cech, Paola Effe, Elenoir (Agnese), and Seryo (Nicola Cavallaro).
