Mediclinics Babymedi Wins iF and Red Dot Awards for Recessed Design

Mediclinics' Babymedi baby changing station has been honored with the iF Design Award and Red Dot Award in 2026, following its European Product Design Award in 2024. The unit reimagines the utilitarian baby changing station as a design-forward, fully recessed solution that integrates seamlessly into contemporary environments such as airports, shopping centers, and cultural facilities. Unlike conventional fold-down plastic units, Babymedi uses a stainless steel construction with PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finishes, chosen for superior resistance to wear, corrosion, and discoloration. The design also incorporates Biocote® antimicrobial protection and an internal ionizer system to reduce bacteria and neutralize odors. By minimizing protrusion from the wall, it improves circulation and helps meet accessibility standards. Mediclinics maintains full control over production, from design and engineering to global distribution, ensuring durability for high-traffic public restrooms.
