Qatar's Media Majlis Museum is showcasing its eighth exhibition titled 'The Limits of My Language Are the Limits of My World,' curated by Amal Zeyad Ali at Northwestern University in Qatar. This mixed-media exhibition, which runs until 5 December 2024, delves into the historical significance and current challenges of the Arabic language. The show is divided into four sections: 'Always Another Side?' emphasizes cultural richness; 'An Influential and Powerful Language?' examines its global influence; 'Does Media Representation Matter?' critiques contemporary depictions; and 'Is Arabic a Language of the Future?' focuses on its preservation. Notable artworks include Karim Jabbari's 'The Language of Time' (2024) and Amal Zeyad Ali's 'Once Upon a Time' (2023).
