Mazzoleni Opens London Space with First UK Show on Analytical Painting
Galleria Mazzoleni, which opened its Mayfair location in October 2015, is presenting the first UK exhibition dedicated to Analytical Painting (Pittura Analitica). Curated by Alberto Fiz, this event features pieces from 14 key artists associated with the movement, including Carlo Battaglia, Enzo Cacciola, and Gianfranco Zappettini, among others. Running from May 18 to July 23, 2016, at 27 Albemarle Street, London, the exhibition delves into the significant 1970s era for Analytical Painting in Italy, alongside French Supports/Surfaces and German radical painting, highlighting the concept of painting as a process. A detailed documentary section is also available, showcasing preview images taken by Mario Bucolo.
