May 2026 Art Events: Van Herpen, Jafa & Prince, Mckinney, and More

May 2026 will showcase significant global art events and exhibitions. At the Brooklyn Museum, Iris van Herpen's 'Sculpting the Senses' will feature 140 couture pieces from 16 May to 6 Dec. In Venice, Fondazione Prada will host 'Helter Skelter' with contributions from Arthur Jafa and Richard Prince, running from 9 May to 23 Nov. Danielle Mckinney's 'Forest for the Trees,' showcasing cinematic portraits, will be on display at Boesky Gallery in New York from 7 May to 13 Jun. The ICA London will present 'Genuine Fake Premium Economy' from 1 May to 5 Jul. Additionally, Anton Corbijn's retrospective will open at Fotografiska Berlin (9 May–20 Sep), and Daido Moriyama's 'Love Letters to Photography' will be at Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson in Paris (20 May–4 Oct). Theatre enthusiasts can look forward to Gary Oldman in 'Krapp's Last Tape' on 8 May and the Glyndebourne Festival's opening on 23 May. Filmgoers can anticipate Carla Simón's 'Romería' among others, while new dining spots like PaperBoy and Acre will also debut.
