May 2025's Major Art Events: Venice Architecture Biennale, Global Gallery Weekends, and Major Exhibitions

The 19th Venice Biennale of Architecture, titled 'Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective,' will take place from 10 May to 23 November 2025, under the curation of Carlo Ratti. A related exhibition by AMO/OMA at Fondazione Prada will focus on diagrams. Gallery Weekend Berlin is scheduled for 2 to 4 May and will showcase Sky Hopkina's work at Tanya Leighton alongside Meduza's 'No' at Kunstraum Kreuzberg. The Spore Initiative presents 'Unsettled Earth.' At MoMA PS1 in New York, 'The Gatherers,' featuring 14 artists including Geumhyung Jeong, is open until 6 October. Tina Girouard's retrospective 'SIGN-IN' at Museo Tamayo is from 21 May to 14 September. Gallery Weekend Beijing occurs from 23 May to 1 June, while Dala Nasser's installation at Kunsthalle Basel runs from 16 May to 21 August. Ching Ho Cheng's 'Tracing Infinity' is available from 2 May to 14 June, and Rambert and (LA)HORDE's 'Bring Your Own' will be held from 7 to 10 May. The Setouchi Triennale continues until 9 November, with the Open City Documentary Festival taking place from 6 to 11 May.
