May 2024's Essential Exhibitions: From New York Debuts to Political Memorials
The Museum of Modern Art in New York is hosting Tadáskía's inaugural exhibition from May 24 to October 14, showcasing immersive murals and sculptures under the curation of Thelma Golden. In London, Rory Pilgrim's multimedia piece 'pink & green' will debut at Chisenhale Gallery on May 17. Dima Srouji's solo display at Lawrie Shabibi in Dubai, featuring hand-blown glass vessels, runs from May 7 to July 6. The Mining Art Museum in Bishop Auckland will present 'The Last Cage Down' from May 3 to October 6, honoring the miners' strike of 1984-85. Foam in Amsterdam will exhibit 'Photography Through the Lens of AI' from May 31 to August 24. Tenzing Dakpa's 'Weather Report' is on view in Kolkata from May 25 to July 27. Danh Vo's mobile flower shop operates in Brussels from May 14 to June 1, while Fondation Beyeler's 'Summer Show' opens on May 19. Margaret Leng Tan will perform 'Dragon Ladies Don't Weep' in London on May 24 and 25.
