exhibition · 2026-05-05

The Maxxi museum in Rome hosted its annual Acquisition Gala Dinner on Monday, November 7, drawing more than 500 guests to the Sala Gian Ferrari. This year’s event, themed around Japan, aligned with the preview of 'The Japanese House.' Funds raised will support the museum's collection, with 10% allocated for the restoration of cultural heritage impacted by earthquakes. Guests enjoyed a Japanese-inspired menu crafted by Michelin-starred chef Moreno Cedroni, complemented by wines from Marchesi Antinori. Among the distinguished attendees were Minister Dario Franceschini, ambassadors from the UK, France, USA, and Japan, along with various directors and artists. The evening featured a performance by Thomas De Falco, in partnership with Romaeuropa Festival, showcasing living sculptures that evoked a Japanese maple forest.
