MAXXI Roma Unveils 'Fuori Tutto' Collection Rehang with Open Storage Concept
The MAXXI museum in Rome has unveiled 'Fuori Tutto,' an exhibition that showcases its permanent collection through an open storage format, highlighting previously unseen artworks by a range of artists. This initiative is a precursor to the 'Grande MAXXI' project, which emphasizes the importance of storage accessibility and modern restoration techniques. Noteworthy acquisitions from the past five years are displayed across Galleria 1, Galleria 3, and additional areas, including the restoration of Anselm Kiefer's 'Sternenfall' by students from ICR. Artists featured in the exhibition are Daniele Puppi, Marcello Maloberti, Elisabetta Benassi, and Abdoulaye Konaté. A section honoring Claudia Gian Ferrari, who contributed over 50 pieces, is also present. Galleria 3 presents architect Giorgio Grassi's archive and works from various architects, alongside a photographic project on Città Universitaria involving multiple photographers.
