MAXXI Roma Celebrates Fred Buscaglione with Centenary Exhibition
The MAXXI – Museo Nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo in Rome is currently showcasing a complimentary exhibition titled 'Fred Buscaglione, il tempo di una sigaretta,' in celebration of the Italian singer-songwriter's 100th birthday (November 2021). This event is scheduled from October 13 to October 23, 2022, aligning with the Festa del Cinema di Roma 2022, and is curated by Sonia Maganuco. Attendees can view rare documents, photographs, memorabilia, and Buscaglione's famous pink piano. Born in Turin in 1921, he gained fame in nightclubs and established the Quintetto Aster during WWII. Tragically, he passed away in a car accident in Rome. His popular songs include 'Che bambola!' and 'Love in Portofino,' and a biographical film is being produced by Maga Pictures.
