MAXXI Museum Launches Tenders for New Creative Restaurant and Café

The MAXXI museum in Rome has issued two distinct tenders to find new operators for its restaurant and café, following the termination of the previous concession contract with Consorzio Stabile Seaman on November 7, 2018. The restaurant, located in Palazzina D on Piazzale Alighiero Boetti, has been closed since then. The new concession will run for seven years starting September 1, 2019, with a 10% revenue share (15% for catering). The café and bookshop are in the main building at Via Guido Reni 8, accessible from the foyer. Selection is based 80% on technical quality (content, setup, graphic identity) and 20% on economic offer, emphasizing sustainability and architectural coherence. Applications must be submitted by May 20, 2019, with mandatory site visits on April 15 or 29. The museum seeks a creative, experimental gastronomic platform that integrates with its cultural context.
