institutional · 2026-04-27

MAXXI – the National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome – has launched MAXXI Know-How 2021, building on a program that started in 2017 and has already engaged over 800 participants, with 500 of those in 2020 alone. This program aims to train people in fields like curatorship, exhibition design, and cultural legislation. Starting in late January, courses will be held both online and at the new MAXXI L’Aquila site, Palazzo Ardinghelli. The first course, focusing on Cultural Heritage Legislation and Management, is set for January 26-29. Other online courses will cover topics from Cultural Indicators to Art Publishing throughout the year, while in-person sessions will also be available. Participants will be selected via an open call, and Pietro Barrera emphasized the museum's role in education during the pandemic.
