MAXXI L'Aquila's Performative Festival Returns with 30 International Artists
The international performance festival #PERFORMATIVE02, hosted by MAXXI L'Aquila, is set to take place from September 15 to 18, 2022, in L'Aquila and the nearby medieval village of Fontecchio, located 25 km away. This festival's mission is to revitalize the sparsely populated region through artistic expression. Key locations for the event include Palazzo Ardinghelli, the Summer Pavilion in Piazza Santa Maria Paganica, the Accademia di Belle Arti, and the Palazzetto dei Nobili. A total of thirty artists, such as Andrea Belfi, Jacopo Benassi, and Lady Maru, will showcase performances across various disciplines, including art, dance, music, and theater. Additionally, the festival will offer "con-formance" sessions led by critics and a remote program available on MAXXIVERSO via arium.xyz.
