festival-fair · 2026-04-27

From September 14 to 16, 2023, the International Festival Performative, hosted by MAXXI L’Aquila in collaboration with the Accademia di Belle Arti dell’Aquila, will take place. Under the direction of Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, the event showcases a fusion of theater, dance, music, and visual arts. Noteworthy performances include "Flow. Voci d’acqua" by Marzia Migliora, OHT’s "Frankenstein," Motus’s "Of the nightingale I envy the fate" and "You were nothing but wind," Marco D’Agostin’s "Gli anni," Daniele Ninarello’s "NOBODY NOBODY NOBODY it’s ok not to be ok," and Muna Mussie’s "Curva Cieca." The theoretical segment features discussions led by Filippo Andreatta and others. Olga Kozmanidze receives the new Premio Performative for her work "Self-reversing." The festival's continuation remains uncertain due to impending changes at MAXXI.
