MAXXI 2025 Program: Water, Architecture, Relational Art, and More
The MAXXI museum in Rome and its branch in L'Aquila have announced their exhibition plans for 2025, marking the museum's fifteenth anniversary. Things kick off on April 18 with 'Something in the Water,' curated by Oscar Tuazon, alongside 'STOP DRAWING: Architettura oltre il disegno,' curated by Pippo Ciorra. In May, there's 'Memory, in Practice,' showcasing a massive 7-meter tree created by Nacho Carbonell, followed by Douglas Gordon's comprehensive collection of works from 1992 onward, debuting on May 30. Autumn will feature '1+1. The relational years' on October 31, curated by Nicolas Bourriaud, and Rosa Barba's solo exhibition along with 'Roma nel Mondo' on November 28. MAXXI L'Aquila will host 'True Colors' on June 6 and 'Andrea Pazienza' on December 5, with Maria Emanuela Bruni as the regent.
