MAUTO in Turin seeks new director with 90k euro salary

The Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile 'Avv. Giovanni Agnelli' (MAUTO) in Turin has published a call for applications for a new director. The position is full-time, fixed-term for three years, renewable for an additional two. Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree, have multi-year experience in managing and promoting cultural heritage (museums, collections, monumental complexes), and possess skills in management, marketing, and communication. Additionally, experience in the automotive sector, other means of locomotion, or design is required. The annual gross salary is 90,000 euros plus possible benefits. Applications must be submitted by 9:00 AM on December 4, 2017, via email, hand delivery, or registered mail to PRAXI S.p.A. at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 3 – 10125 Turin. After initial screening, shortlisted candidates must present a development plan for the museum. A MAUTO commission will evaluate second-phase candidates, who will be interviewed, and the Board of Directors will make the final appointment. The museum, founded in 1932 by Cesare Goria Gatti and Roberto Biscaretti di Ruffia, houses over 200 original vehicles from 80 brands and ranks ninth in TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice 2017 for Italian museums for the second consecutive year. Rodolfo Gaffino Rossi is the current director.
