Mauro Fiorese, Italian Photographer and Artist, Dies at 46

On December 4, 2016, Mauro Fiorese, a multifaceted Italian artist, photographer, teacher, curator, and videomaker, passed away in Verona at the age of 46. Born in 1970, he pursued studies in Architecture at IUAV University of Venice and photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design and Speos Institute in Paris. Fiorese was an educator at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona and the University of Verona. He gained recognition in 1997 as one of the TOP 100 World Photographers and showcased his work at the George Eastman House in 2012. In 2015, he received first prize at Codice Mia. A memorial event will take place on December 14 at Galleria d’Arte Moderna Achille Forti in Verona.
