Maurizio Nobile Fine Art opens third location in Milan's Palazzo Bagatti Valsecchi

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Maurizio Nobile Fine Art inaugurates a new gallery space in Milan on October 7, 2021, at Palazzo Bagatti Valsecchi, Via Santo Spirito 7, in the Quadrilatero della Moda. This is the gallery's third location, following its founding in Bologna in 1987 and a Paris outpost opened in 2010. The inaugural exhibition, 'La Grande Bellezza. Sette secoli di arte italiana,' runs from October 8 to December 18, 2021, showcasing masterpieces from the 14th to the 20th century, including works by Giovanni Boldini, Felice Casorati, Guercino, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Giovanni Battista Salvi (il Sassoferrato), Niccolò di Segna, and Francesco Hayez. The gallery occupies the piano nobile of the historic palace, which also houses the Casa Museo Bagatti Valsecchi and was once home to singer Mina from the early 1970s to 1987. Stefano Bosi will direct the Milan branch. Nobile cited Milan's cultural renaissance and its status alongside London and Paris as a major European art market hub as motivations for the expansion, delayed by the pandemic.
