Maurizio Cattelan's Comedian Banana Becomes Charity T-Shirt

Maurizio Cattelan's Comedian, the banana duct-taped to a wall that became a viral sensation at Art Basel Miami Beach 2019, is now available as a T-shirt. From January 25, 2020, the Perrotin store in New York's Lower East Side will sell the Comedian T-shirt for $25, with proceeds benefiting Feeding South Florida, an organization fighting hunger in southern Florida. The original banana, purchased for $120,000, was eaten by an artist and removed for security reasons. Separately, Cattelan is selling a limited edition of 500 light bulbs titled Yes!, depicting his own face with exaggerated features, on the Marian Goodman Gallery website for €750 each, including taxes and shipping.
