Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari Open First Toiletpaper Store in Milan
From September 21 to October 2, 2016, the first Toiletpaper pop-up store opens in Milan at via Vincenzo Capelli, near Corso Como. The temporary shop is a collaboration with design brands Gufram and Seletti, offering a total living environment filled with surreal objects from the magazine's history. The store features exclusive items, including the first 100 copies of a special golden vinyl of Daft Punk's 1995 single "Da Funk," created by Cattelan and Ferrari to celebrate the magazine's first million copies printed. Available merchandise includes Soap, God, and The End icons, cactus poufs by Drocco&Mello, stele-shaped epitaphs, and the full Seletti Wears Toiletpaper collection: enameled metal tableware, porcelain plates, umbrellas, soaps, tablecloths, mirrors, tables, bags, candles, cushions, and more. The pop-up follows previous Toiletpaper collaborations with Paul Smith in Nottingham and Leeds (2015) and Galeries Lafayette in Paris (2016). The store is open daily from 11:00 to 19:30.
