Matteo Nasini's Neolithic Sunshine at Pescheria, Pesaro
Matteo Nasini (Rome, 1976) presents his first solo show at a museum institution, 'Neolithic Sunshine', at Centro Arti Visive Pescheria in Pesaro. The exhibition explores the creative instinct of primordial societies through ceramics, sound, and color. Nasini, a musician trained at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia di Roma, uses 3D-printed ceramic replicas of prehistoric bone flutes, which he plays, records, and plays back inside a tent of wool threads suspended from the dome of the former Chiesa del Suffragio. The first room features large, candy-colored ceramic columns resembling ruined temple pillars, arranged around a white ceramic wheel. The show emphasizes manual craftsmanship and a universal, ancestral sense of humanity, avoiding political or dramatic narratives. Nasini won the Talent Prize in 2016 and L’arte che accadrà in 2017.
