Matteo Lucchetti appointed artistic director of ParCO hub in Parma
Matteo Lucchetti, born in 1984 in Sarzana, has been named the artistic director of ParCO – Parma Contemporanea, a contemporary art center set to launch in 2025 at the Ospedale Vecchio in Parma. This initiative, backed by "Parma, io ci sto!" and the Municipality of Parma, aims to bolster the city’s role as the European Youth Capital 2027 through exhibitions and educational programs. The site, which is currently being restored, is located near the University of Parma and local libraries. Lucchetti, who has served as a curator at MUCIV since 2022 and co-curated the Visible project since 2011, received commendation from Deputy Mayor Lorenzo Lavagetto for his community-oriented vision. An international Advisory Board will assist in shaping the artistic agenda and partnerships.
