Mattatoio di Roma announces summer 2020 program with residencies and exhibitions

exhibition · 2026-04-27

The Mattatoio in Rome's Testaccio area has introduced a summer cultural program as part of the Romarama initiative, despite earlier cancellations of events due to health issues. Under the direction of Angel Moya Garcia, the summer lineup adheres to anti-contagion protocols. Running until August, the artist residency 'Prender-si cura', curated by Ilaria Mancia, features talents such as Annamaria Ajmone and Jacopo Jenna and marks a renewed partnership with the Short Theatre festival. Conversations with artists, initiated during lockdown, will persist at La Pelanda, with content shared via Mattatoio's social media. Furthermore, 'Dispositivi Sensibili', overseen by Garcia, will commence on July 23, showcasing Andrea Galvani's work, followed by Luigi Presicce.
