Matías Costa retrospective 'Lo que nace' at COAM Madrid
Matías Costa, a Buenos Aires native born in 1973 and currently residing in Madrid, will showcase his retrospective 'Lo que nace' at the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM) from April 29 to May 24, 2026, as part of PHotoESPAÑA. This exhibition marks the 30th anniversary of the Descubrimientos PHotoESPAÑA award, which Costa received in 1998. A multifaceted artist, Costa holds a Journalism degree from UCM and has earned accolades such as the World Press Photo award. His works have been displayed at notable venues like Museo Reina Sofía and Centro de la Imagen. A key element of his artistic approach is the 'Cuaderno de Campo,' a series of notebooks that merge personal and external narratives. The exhibition will also coincide with Fujikina on May 23–24.
