Materia Prima: Contemporary Ceramics in Montelupo Fiorentino
Curated by Marco Tonelli, the 'Materia Prima' project is being held in Montelupo Fiorentino (Florence) in conjunction with 'Buongiorno Ceramica', a three-day celebration of Italian ceramic artistry. This initiative, backed by the Centro per l'arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci and Regione Toscana, seeks to promote the region's ceramic heritage. It features an exhibition dedicated to Leoncillo's influence and 'Sculture in città', showcasing works by Ugo La Pietra, Bertozzi & Casoni, Loris Cecchini, and Hidetoshi Nagasawa. The exhibition 'Materia Prima. La ceramica dell’arte contemporanea' is on display at Palazzo Podestarile until June 30. Additionally, the Project Room, overseen by Lorenzo Cianchi, will present artists under 35, including Morgane Tschiember and Irene Lupi starting June 2. An outdoor exhibition pays tribute to Paolo Staccioli.
