Materadio 2019: Rai Radio3's Cultural Festival Returns to Matera

Materadio, the cultural festival organized by Rai Radio3, will take place from September 13 to 15, 2019, across multiple locations in Matera, Italy. The event features a diverse program of cultural entertainment, including shows like Fahrenheit, Radio3 Scienza, Tutta la città ne parla, and Radio3 Mondo, held at the Conservatory auditorium in Piazza Sedile. Piazza San Francesco will host a stage for theatrical and musical performances, as well as the Materadio Village, a hub for conferences, book presentations, and public information. Evening concerts will be held at the Cava del Sole arena at Matera's entrance. Notable guests include saxophonist Jan Garbarek with his quartet and percussionist Trilok Gurtu, performing in a production co-organized with Gezziamoci, the Onyx Jazz Club's festival. Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti will also appear, sharing her space experience exactly 50 years after the first moon landing.
