Matera's Palazzo Viceconte Hosts 'Apparati Contemporanei' Exhibition
Starting June 29, the Fondazione SoutHeritage presents 'Apparati contemporanei' at the historic Palazzo Viceconte in Matera's Sassi district. The exhibition features works by Robert Barry, Joachim Mogarra, Vera Molnár, and Gabriel Orozco, transforming the former chapel into an open interpretive space without a predefined theme. The foundation, operating since 2003 and winner of the 2005 Premio Guggenheim Impresa&Cultura, aims to make visitors active participants through its mediation project 'Le (d)istanze del pubblico'. Director Roberto Martino describes the show as a dialogic-reflexive moment and self-education experience, promoting free access to culture and new public dissemination models. The exhibition is part of SoutHeritage's annual program, which uses contemporary art to stimulate discussion on 'participant observation'.
