Matera 2019's Legacy: Post-Capital of Culture Report and Future Plans

Matera, known for its Sassi, is assessing the effects of its designation as the European Capital of Culture in 2019, which saw more than 1,000 events and a 40% rise in international visitors. This evaluation is spearheaded by Rossella Tarantino, the interim director general of Fondazione Matera Basilicata 2019, and includes an open data portal. Over 80% of the events were locally organized through the Open Design School, which is developing community labs and a children's architecture program.
