Matera 2019: Milo Rau's final performances, Franko B debut, and interactive installation reopening

Matera, European Capital of Culture 2019, hosts a weekend of events from October 4-6, including the final public performances of Milo Rau's 'Il Nuovo Vangelo', the debut of Franko B in Matera, and the reopening of the interactive installation 'La secretissima camera de lo core'. Milo Rau's work, staged 55 years after Pasolini, features a black Jesus leading a 'Rivolta della dignità' with 12 apostles, 140 migrants from San Severo and Metaponto, and about 100 local citizens—totaling around 400 participants. The performance addresses slavery, illegal labor, and injustice. The final performance and film shooting take place on October 6 at Belvedere di Murgia Timone. Franko B's exhibition 'Logos Mundi' at Ipogeo Materasum runs until October 31, focusing on migration and hope. 'La secretissima camera de lo core', an interactive labyrinth using an emotional map based on memories of residents and visitors, reopens at the Biblioteca provinciale 'T. Stigliani' from October 4-6. This installation offers a unique way to explore Matera's hidden secrets.
