Matera 2019 launches print magazine to navigate cultural programme

publication · 2026-05-04

Salvatore Adduce, president of the Fondazione Matera Basilicata 2019, announces a new bilingual print magazine by Artribune dedicated to Matera 2019, the European Capital of Culture programme. The magazine aims to provide a compass for the complex and visionary programme, which includes approximately 1,500 events. Adduce highlights partnerships with Sky Arte (two documentaries), Euronews (exclusive collaboration for pan-European coverage), and Rai (Rai Radio 3's Materadio, Rai Cultura's Tele Matera hosted by Edoardo Camurri, and Tgr's weekly segment Matera, Italia). The print supplement fills a gap in the communication strategy, complementing digital and traditional media. Adduce emphasizes the need for deeper understanding of the programme's varied articulation, which often lacks space in standard channels.
