Masurian House by Archigrest Integrates with Nature in Poland
Archigrest has completed the Masurian House, a 163 m² single-family home in the Masuria region of Poland, in 2023. Designed by lead architects Maciej Kaufman and Marcin Maraszek, the house emphasizes a seamless connection with its natural surroundings. A southwest-facing balcony offers expansive views, while terraces extend from the kitchen and living room to form a central living core. Exposed beams, terrace windows, and skylights allow natural light from multiple directions, creating a warm atmosphere year-round. The project involved collaboration with landscape architects topoScape, structural engineers IKON Michał Dyszkiewicz, and contractors SDS Domy Szkieletowe and LDM Mazury. Materials from FAKRO, Wienerberger, and Danfoss were used. The house falls under the categories of Houses and Sustainability.
